Our approach to
rehabilitation features a true cohesive, inter disciplinary
rehabilitation team including Physical Therapists, Occupational
Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists, working together with
nurses, dietary, social services and activities
to assist patients in reaching their maximum potential.
Calvert City Convalescent and Rehabilitation
Center provides aggressive treatment protocols, which have been
modified to fit each individual's needs. They progress at their
own pace, based upon their level of endurance and medical involvement.
The patient is the most valued member of the rehab team and we let out
patients know that through our support, respect and encouragement.
Our Mission is dedicated to maximizing independence,
safety, comfort and quality of life for those residents remaining in
our facility, as well as those returning home.
PHYSICAL -
Physical therapy is the rehabilitation specialty that works
closely with an individual to restore their functional abilities.
Some treatments may include flexibility and strengthening exercises,
as well as, gait training, balance activities, safety with transfers
and pain management techniques.
Physical Therapists (PTs) are highly specialized
healthcare professionals that are able to access the individual's
deficits and develop treatment programs accordingly.

SPEECH -
Speech Therapy (ST), with our licensed therapists, assists
individuals to learn to master new communication skills and to handle
chewing and swallowing difficulties. many individuals learn skills to assist with memory loss.
OCCUPATIONAL -
Occupational Therapy (OT) is the rehabilitation specialty that assists
an individual to regain the ability to perform activities of daily
living. The goal is to assist the individual to regain these
abilities while encouraging independence. These abilities are
often regained using splints and adaptive equipment.
